With the spread of happiness as the group's only goal, the Toy Society has already seen more than 1200 toys distributed around the world as its membership has grown over the years. Something for nothing is quite a rarity, but if kids are taught the joy of giving at an early age maybe they will pay it forward.

If you came across a toy in a sealed bag with a note attached that said, “Take me home, I’m yours,” would you snatch it up? The women behind The Toy Society hope so. Started as a street art project in Australia almost two years ago, the Toy Society invites members to create handmade toys, place them in a bag to protect them from the elements and anonymously leave the packages in a public place (high enough to elude wandering dogs, low enough to catch a lil one's eye) for a stranger to enjoy. Members notify others of their "toy drop" on the group's blog and finders are invited to inform the group of their discovery, if they so choose.
