I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Kids love ice cream, but they may find a frozen yogurt dessert equally delightful — especially if they help make it. With Fourth of July quickly approaching, you can entertain your tots with a kitchen task from which they can reap the benefits later.
I found a delicious recipe for frozen yogurt popsicles on Cooks.com. The simple three step process will have you all grinning from ear to ear. To check out the yummy recipe, read more.
1 c. plain yogurt
1 sliced banana
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. fruit juice or fruit chunks
Favorites are: orange or pineapple juice and peaches
Blend ingredients together and pour into small paper cups or popsicle molds. Freeze. Place a popsicle stick in each cup when half frozen.
If you want to make them holiday themed, change the fruit to strawberries, coconut and blueberries and layer the flavors to create a red, white and blue treat! If layering, make sure previous layers are frozen before mixing them together.
To serve, turn cup upside down and run hot water over it until popsicle slides out.
