Dads, please see the humor, not criticism. As an "elder" I have had the opportunity to see the changes in the participation of dads.

These hairdos remind me of a family story -- my niece's husband wanted to let her sleep in so he dressed their three year old for preschool. His efforts were not appreciated by my great niece who told him, "You don't know how a princess is supposed to look, you have me looking all kinds of crazy!"

To all the Daddies, I say Thank You. Please take a look at this video and share http://youtu.be/kK7hez6F_X4

Couldn't help notice most of these children appear under the age of 5 and a hairdo is not necessarily a priority....I give them ALL the DAD's a score of #10 for EFFORT alone..

I get what everybody is saying as far as it being another way to belittle men, but I really didn't view this particular article in that way (with a couple of exceptions, of course.) For the most part, it's basically showcasing weird hairstyles on little girls or things that are obviously out of Dad's element. That doesn't mean the dad is dumb. It just means he probably doesn't put bows into his own ponytails when he does his hair. I, as a mom, have some pictures of my son with wild hair because he has curly hair, and mine is stick-straight. I had no freakin' clue how to take care of it without him looking like a dandelion at first, but that doesn't mean I'm useless as a parent. It just means I didn't have a lot of prior experience with curly hair.

I still find this article endearingly hilarious, though.

I wonder why some women do find it amusing to belittle their men? What does this say to their children about their father and I know just as many women who can't braid their child's hair as I do men. It is gender wars and It is destructive to relationships and to our children's self esteem. Every time they ridicule someones effort they are telling their child, don't do anything unless you do it perfect or I will make fun of you and so will everyone else. This is a horrible message. As a mom, I am sorry Dad.

Every time I read a post about how dumb dads are I wonder if the woman who wrote it recognizes how it makes her look. Does she really want to tell everyone "I have no judgment so I married an idiot."

And then I wonder what would happen if dads wrote about the idiotic things moms do (And there are plenty) and responded to criticism by saying "can't you take a joke."
