Baby Bump: Let Intelligender Tell You Pink or Blue

Curious to know if that bun in your oven is destined for a life filled with pink or blue? Before you have your ultrasound, you can give the IntelliGender a whirl to predict the baby's sex.

The boxed kit ($35) claims to work as early as ten weeks into gestation, giving expectant parents something to hedge bets on. Similar to a pregnancy test, moms–to–be learn the results of the test with a simple trip to the loo in the comfort of their own home. While ultrasound pictures offer the most proof (aside from the actual delivery), the IntelliGender test kit provides parents in waiting a fun option from the guessing game.

It was wrong for me and two other women expecting the same month as me on a forum I frequent. We all got boy results, all have delivered girls. Save your money. That's about three packs of diapers.

Hell, I'm 50% accurate in predicting gender. It's either a girl or a boy, I have a 50/50 shot of being right. I wouldn't pay $35 for that, not that I find out gender anyway.

I took the test at around 14 weeks - it said I'm having a boy. Since my husband and I are only having 2 kids I was hoping for a girl and was disappointed - but at my 20 week ultrasound the technician told us she's positive we're having a girl! I'm the second person I know of in my group of friends who took it who had incorrect results. Save your money!

This is really just a novelty product. It is only 50% accurate so don't get your hopes up and definitely if you are on a budget save your money for all the baby essentials you are going to need with your little baby boy OR girl.

I want to try this. I will definitely get it when I get preggo. $35 is a little pricey though.

If you could determine gender by peeing in a cup, the doctor would have you do that before the first ultrasound. Since there's a 50/50 shot of this being right, half the users will be satisfied and they'll continue to sell. Ripoff.

I tried it and it was right for me (boy). I've had friends try it with mixed results.

I tried it. It was wrong. The boy results are less reliable than girl results. In fact in my pregancy group at least 20 of us took it and over half the boy results turned out to be girls. Something to do with some women having more testosterone to begin with. I took it and got a boy result, was sad cause I have two sons already, and ended of with a beautiful baby girl!

Hmm it seems cheap enough that if I were finding out then I might try it.

I'd give it a try, though $35 bucks is a little steep for something that is a 50/50 chance anyway :P
