This Math Class Made an Awesome Geometry Remix of Beyoncé's "Formation"

If it's possible to teach math in a fun and creative way, it's seventh grade math teacher Ciera Cece Paul who can do the job. The ReNEW Cultural Arts Academy (RCAA) instructor remixed Beyoncé's latest hit, "Formation," into a catchy song with easy-to-remember geometry terms and formulas. In the video above, her students recite the altered song with the lyrics:

"I'm so crazy with my circular measurements, pi times diameter gives me the circumference. I'm so reckless everytime I square my radius, I multiply it times pi to get the area."

The students of RCAA (located in New Orleans, the city highlighted in "Formation") even threw in some choregraphy to go along with the song and added some Spanish verses. Ms. Paul posted the video on her Facebook, saying how excited she was that her male students were "just as invested" as her girls who love the singer.

What an awesome way to teach! We think it's safe to say that her class will never forget how to find the circumference of a circle. Watch the original "Formation" video below.
