Hero Teacher Makes Crazy Jump to Save 3-Year-Old Boy

Kindergarten teacher Ina Koenig did not know how deep the hole was when she jumped into a 75-foot-deep flooded mine shaft to save the life of a three-year-old student. Nor did she know whether she could actually rescue the boy, Jannic, who had fallen into the shaft while on a school trip to Hanover, Germany.

She managed to keep little boy's head above the water for two hours while battling to stay afloat in the near freezing water. Both Jannic and his brave teacher survived the traumatic accident and are now recovering.
