Well I don't have money to replace my highchair... but if I did I'd totally get the step ladder one! My kids are all different ages and having 1 more step ladder around would be great because they're always stealing mine haha! http://www.modernhomemakers.com

Toss a perfectly good SAFE high chair to buy an equivalent that requires more time to strap it to another chair? Something about that doesn't add up. Lol kind of inefficient if you ask me. High chairs have persisted through the years for a reason. They really don't take up much space at all.

I have had the Fisher Price Space Saver high chair in my house for two years. I've had two grand-baby's use it and its still like new! The cloth seat cover removes easily for washing purposes. The tray is nice and roomy and has two cup holders. I'd highly recommend this product!!

I've been using the Phil & Ted's "Me Too" since my daughter was 6 months old and I love it. It's very sturdy and great in a small kitchen. I have to disagree about using a bouncy seat. The recline on it (depending on the model) can be so much that a baby who is new at eating solids can choke. I'm speaking from experience, since this was the way I thought I could feed my baby prior to buying the real highchair. I had the bouncy seat pictured in the slideshow.

tngirly - we have the Space Saver one at my son's grandparents' house. It is great - it is literally just like a highchair but it attaches to a regular chair. The only issue I foresee is if you need that chair for another adult!
