Heads up, moms! Britax has issued a voluntary safety recall of 60,000 car seats.

If you have a Britax Boulevard 70-G3, Pavilion 70-G3, Advocate 70-G3, Boulevard 65-G3, Pavilion 65-G3, or Advocate 65-G3, check the list below of recalled model numbers and the label on the left side of your car seat.

Britax is recalling the car seats because of a potential choking hazard. The company has received reports that some children chew or bite on the chest pads and have bitten off small pieces. 

Britax is supplying free remedy kits with a new chest pad. For more information, contact the BRITAX information line, toll free at 1-888-427-4829.

Please be respectful of others here. I'd just like to politely remind you that there are some children that aren't like yours. My son has an oral fixation and if given the chance, he will chew on ANYTHING. He is 4, he has autism, and he doesn't understand language the way your children do. Telling him to stop will not work, and personally I think this recall is necessary for SOME children. If it doesn't apply to you, maybe just ignore it rather than judging the children that it does apply to.

I wouldn't recall it for something so stupid. How the heck is a child chewing on it in the first place. If they are buckled in correctly they shouldn't be able too.

No biggie. Glad wasn't something terrible! Never had any issues in last 5 years( bouvleard and the boosters now) but I will still get replacement parts. Thx!!!!

It's just the pads on the harness. It's not like the whole seat is bad. If I owned one I'd just take those off. Duh!

Thank goodness we don't have a Britax as DH is taking the little guy on a 7-1/2 hr trip this evening to his parents. I'd be freaking out.
