Kidmazing: Second Grader's Letter to the President

Good lord, a bunch of us just sat and watched this and at almost the same time we all said how obvious it was that her parent/s wrote this.

CaterpillarGirl, it's "moot point", not "mute point". Sorry, pet peeve. :P I don't particularly agree with using a child who is uneducated in politics to pull on the heart strings for someone's agenda, but at the same time she makes a wonderful point. I have a degree in political science, I'm a member of the armed forces, and still I greatly oppose war. Perhaps it's interesting that I was a great supporter of the war prior to spending the past 7 years in the military - it was my direct experience, combined with the knowledge I gained from my poli sci classes, that led me to realize that the world COULD be as peaceful and wonderful as this little girl describes.. if only human beings weren't so damn selfish and ignorant.

UnDave, i was thinking the same thing, about how putting her up there and having her read her letter was kind of a mute point, how cute, but what was the point? that kids are innocent? and they dont understand politics, and Mr President cant we use water guns? BUT than again, michael franti is a member of the green party and hasnt worn shoes since 2006, he isnt really interested in reality.

The letter is exactely what I would expect a second grader to say. It would be nice if the world were fairies and fruitcake (well, maybe not fruitcake), but it's not. War is sometimes necessary, and some countries, like people, just don't want to be your friend. Talking doesn't solve everything.
