Lil Community: I Made My Own Maternity Jeans!

A mom-to-be's got to do what a mom's got to do. This post was submitted by Beaner in The Pregnancy Posse group.

OK, so I know these in no way compare to designer maternity jeans, but since I'll only be wearing them for a couple months (Spring is coming soon and that means skirts and dresses!), I thought I'd save my dough and make some of my own. I converted a pair of my old jeans by cutting off the top and attaching an elastic waistband. Not too bad right? And see my little baby bump? At four months along, the little one is the size of a turnip now!

I belive that we can still be fashionable even if we have that bump. There's a lot of maternity fashion to choose, it can be dresses, leggings, jeans, nursing bras and etc. When I got pregnant, I've search fashion sites that have affordable maternity dresses. And I found this site called www.robecart.com/maternity-jea.... They have a lot of dresses to choose. I bought 3 Maternity Jeans, good thing they have free shipping so it's a budget-friendly and they shipped fast. I was so amazed. I can still wear some shirts or blouses because of that.

you're so cute! good job! and you're right, you won't need them for long, not to mention by the time the baby is born, you may want to throw those on again for comfort since it will be getting cooler

Smart! I wish I had done that. But I didn't wear jean when I was preggo. I was teaching Pilates full time and was lucky to wear sweats every day.

Nice! My biggest complaint with maternity jeans is how loose they are in the butt and thighs. Must be nice to have a pair that's fitted!!

Cute! Unfortunately, my thighs only fit in a couple pairs of my pre-preg jeans. :P Great idea though. Those should hold you over until it's warm enough for leggings and maxi dresses.
