I can relate totally to the gentle giant story... my daughter has always been ridiculously tall and it can get very tiring to explain to people why at 9 months old and looking more around 2 she wasn't answering their questions. She learned to walk at 10 mos and people were consistantly telling me she had physical disabilities becuase she still toddled around.. um no, that would be because she JUST learned to walk at TEN MONTHS.. ugh. Now at 2 and looking more like 3, people go into full out conversations with her and then look at her like shes a complete imbecile for not answering them or if she does and its hard to understand they look at me like im sadly lacking in my parenting skills...
