Lil Tip: Faux Flickering Candles

You love the warm glow of candlelight, but not the chore of keeping the kids away from them. So keep the flicker and lose the fear of lil fingers causing fires with battery operated tea lights.

The LED lights have silicon tips and come four to a pack for $13. They have the same soft light as candles with burning wicks, but are are free of flame, wax and heat. Each one has an on/off switch and offers about 100 hours of continuous use before the batteries need to be replaced.

When I went to the Met in NYC last weekend, they were using these in the Victorian rooms. They're really amzing and life-like!

These are great. And you can place them in hard to reach places, where it would be dangerous to place candles.... adds some drama.

I love these. Absolutely love them. They completely give off the same glow as regular candles, without any of the black substance that stains the votive and wall, and obviously without any fire hazard.

I'd have to see these in person.
