Lil Tip: Yogurt Popsicles

Summer's upon us and kids are vying for ice cream, sno cones, and popsicles — any sweet treat that keeps them cool. If you want to satisfy their cravings with a healthier alternative, try this trick. Take Stonyfield YoKids Squeezers or Horizon Organic Yogurt Tubes and pop them in the freezer overnight before handing them off to your tots as frozen treats. Perfect for picnics or after pool snacks, the yogurt has more nutritional value than most goodies sold on the ice cream truck.

This is funny because just today I got the go-gurts because my daughter is obsessed with Freeze Pops and I can't get her to eat her yogurt anymore. I tried the ole switcheroo tonight and she was calling the go-gurt feeze pop. She said "More feeze pop mommy!" Yippee!! And I had not seen this post! I must be on the same wave length!

My kids knew something was up when I tried giving them frozen yogurt pops instead of real popsicles. They were having none of that healthy stuff! I really enjoyed them though.

I tried this with my son after it was recommended by a friend. Gross. Both he and I were so grossed out by the texture that we couldn't even get to the taste.
