Lip Tip: Safe Sippy Cup

Plastic, kids cups are a thing of the past for parents worried about the rise in Bisphenol A and other chemical warnings. Now it's all about stainless steel, and the Safe Sippy has cornered the market. The $15 non-leaching, 11-oz. cup is selling off the shelves. The insulated, dishwasher-safe Kid Basix cup features removable handles, a straw-shaped spout and no-leak valves.

We have tried Klean Kanteen, Sigg, Foogo and The Safe Sippy. My kids hands down favorite is the Safe Sippy. It's just a better designed cup than the others. The outer sleeve insulates the cup and protects it from dents. My Klean Kanteen cup looks like it it's been through a battle (and lost)the way my kids drop it full of water on my kitchen floor. The've dropped the Safe Sippy just as much but it has no dings in it. I love this cup!

I just bought a Safe Sippy Cup at Chulamama.com and I have to say: me and my kids just love it. Besides the fashionable design I am relieved to be able to know that my children drink out of a safe cup. Plastic has been around for a long time, I agree but if this bottle is really better than I am willing to invest the money. They are not heavy and look really cool too. I would definitely recommend it!

I like the design. I wonder how heavy they are.

heh? I must have missed that plastic sippies are no good anymore. I have a whole bunch of them. Hmmm...

I just got one of these in the mail and I also ordered a Kleen Kanteen. Better safe than sorry I suppose.

Those are cute and safe - well at least until they find the next bad thing

:rotfl: I agree with Moto though, parents have used the plastic ones for years and we're all fine, right?

Darn, I just got my son a Kleen Kanteen sippy, but I like these better (esthetically).

I'm sure there is something in these, also, that will eventually be found to cause brain damage, or behavior problems, or make the baby's left leg fall off, or something.
