This Little Girl Figured Out the Tooth Fairy and Left a Hilarious Note For Her Parents

We all have the greatest intentions to teach our children to be honest, truthful people, but as a society, we spend a lot of time lying to our kids about fantastical beings — like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny — so it shouldn't really come as a surprise to us that when the jig's finally up, our kiddos may be a bit upset they were duped for so long.

When Reddit user willsanderson found a note on his daughter's pillow addressed to the "Tooth Fairy," he was likely less surprised that 9-year-old Lexi knew the Tooth Fairy was fake and more surprised at how honest — and amazingly sassy — her note was. Either way, he knew he'd been found out, so naturally, he posted it on the Internet for the whole world to see.

Dear "Tooth Dairy,"

I don't believe in the Tooth Fairy anymore. I know it's you who gets the money and puts it under my pillow, mom and dad. I'm sorry if this is hard for you, but I'm 9 now.

P.S. I don't believe in Santa Claus either.

Love, Lexi

P.S. Daddy, I knew it was you last Easter, hiding my Easter eggs!

Lexi let her dad down pretty hard, which is a shame since faking belief for a year or two longer may have gotten her an extra gift from "Santa" at Christmastime — rookie mistake.
