A Pregnant Meteorologist Is Being Bullied by Viewers Who Don't Like Her Wardrobe Choices

Cindy Morgan is not the first meteorologist to receive hate mail about her pregnancy, but she may be taking one of the boldest stands against it — and she has the full support of her network behind her. The Minnesota meteorologist is pregnant and proud of her daughter's impending arrival. But her viewers have done everything from assess her wardrobe choices (they think they're too tight) to criticize her pregnancy.

Yesterday, she had enough and posted her response to her detractors on her Facebook page:

But she's not the only one commenting. Her boss at KAAL - ABC 6 News shared their outrage about the issue too, noting that Cindy is an "easy target" for social media users because not only does she go on TV every day — regardless of how she is feeling — but she does so "with no desk to hide behind." News director David Springer wrote:

Since both Cindy and David posted their views, they've received an overwhelmingly positive response with viewers telling Cindy how great she looks and how much they appreciate the station's support of all pregnant women.

When it comes to maternity dressing, there's something for everyone out there. There's Kim Kardashian-like maternity outfits and more conservative Kate Middleton-like styles, and no one look is right for everyone. But for people, strangers for that matter, to bully a pregnant woman for her seemingly conservative wardrobe choices because they don't fit into their idealized views of what an expectant woman should wear is beyond disappointing. Take your time and spend it on something more important. Your meteorologist's maternity clothing choices should be the least of your worries!
