Mini Vespa: Kid Friendly or Are You Kidding?

My daughter is still too young to hop on the Mini Vespa for Kids ($450) and take it for a ride, but just the thought of her on it has my brain racing. Designed for children ages three to seven, it's just like the real thing only mini. Would you buy the ride for your lil rascal?

It's no more ridiculous that the other super-expensive mini-cars people buy their kids. I wanted one desperately when I was little, but now they seem pretty dumb.

I have the adult (real) version of this bike & would not be able to resist the mini-me effect if I had a kid. It goes slow & has training wheels & would be a good "always wear a helmet" learning tool :)

If I weighed a little less, I was thinking about getting one for myself to zip around my neighborhood. I'm 26. I don't think I would put a 3-year-old on it.

Aren't there more useful things to spend money on for your kids?

it looks really cool to me...and it has training wheels that is a plus....i think it is neat...the price is a little saddening but it is cute.

I would get this for my kids, I actually looked into a few months ago. It goes maybe a whole 6mph, lol. My son has one of those big powered Ford Monster Trucks and absolutely loves it but he also has a scooter and a bike. He uses them all and loves each and every one of them. I think these things are ok as long as there is adult supervision.

My American children are happy with their tricycles and bicycles. Last I checked, Vespa was an Italian company, no? Regardless, I wouldn't like this. What if this thing fell on a 3-7 year old? We'd be getting more than just a scrape.

That kid's pretty old to be on a tricycle. :? But, I agree that pedal power is better. It's why my (American) kids have tricycles and bicycles and pedal powered cars, not battery powered vehicles.

Helmet and Supervision and where good to go!

what happened to the tricycle? This is why Americans are so fat, they buy kids toys that require no physical activity.

Actually, this looks significantly safer than the mini dirt bikes they make for kids in the same age range. Still, my heart could not stand the stress of my children on one of these.
