"They don't ever go away. They want everything you have."
In just 34 seconds, Ashley Gardner [1], mother of quadruplet girls, perfectly sums up the essence of motherhood [2] while hiding from her kids inside a pantry. Chewing on a Twizzler, Ashley explains that her husband was out shoveling the driveway, and that she desperately needed a treat to get through the rest of her night (to the sound of whining children in the background). "So I'm hiding in the pantry, eating a treat," she says. "Is that wrong?"
As she continues to enjoy her treat, she points the camera down to the floor, where a small child's face appears through the crack under the door. "She's always there," Ashley says, as her daughter quickly responds with a gleeful "Hi!"
Yup, that sounds about right.
