Mommy's Lil Helper: Cupcake Carrier

Mommy's Lil Helper: Cupcake Carrier

Cupcakes are a childhood favorite because the decadent treats are just the right size for satisfying a small one's sweet tooth. But, transporting the tiny cakes to a class party or potluck dinner can be a bit of a pain.

Many a mother has driven cautiously while watching the sweets slide around in the top of a box or topple from a muffin pan. Recently, I came across this smart solution — The Cupcake Courier ($30). The translucent plastic carrier holds three trays of 12 cupcakes and bottom latches secure it while a handle provides convenient toting. And if you remove the trays, the carrier can hold a cake.

This apparently is a must have as my child enters the school age years and it seems that cupcakes have taken on a new meaning (and transporting them is a nightmare) I hadn't heard that there were schools requiring only store bought... given the restriction on nuts and peanuts (as well as students w/ other food allergies)... we are just asked to provide a list of the ingredients used so nobody w/ a wheat allergy, for example, is exposed. Won't shop at Walmart, so I guess I'm buying the more expensive version

"Is anyone even allowed to take homemade cupcakes to scholls/daycares anymore?" We can here. I don't have patience for cupcakes, though. However, I've gotten the Walmart version of this for a few friends who enjoy baking. I'm in Southern California and I have 3 Walmarts within a ten minute drive from my house. *lol* One does have terrible selection, but one's really good and one's a supermarket Walmart, which has everything imagineable.

where was this when i threw that class birthday party for my little niece. I baked 3 dozen cupcakes, and homemade Italian ice cream sandwiches (a few classes were invite). it was crazy. all those children . . . this was in October, and i'm still tramatized.i would mind the price for this. and the Walmarts here in Southern Cal are few and far between, and they don't carry a great selection.

Is anyone even allowed to take homemade cupcakes to scholls/daycares anymore? We have to bring in store bought goodies to comply with regulations. :-(

Well, ex-SIL now, I suppose. Or maybe it was just a good friend. But I remember she was pimping it on a talk show last year.

I'm pretty sure that this is the product designed by Jenna Fisher's SIL. It looks quite handy!
