Does it seem like you’re clocking more time each day on parenting tasks than your child’s father is? If so, you’re far from alone.
A study by VTech found that moms spend an average of almost 7.5 hours each day on parenting tasks, while dads average only 4.3 hours per day. Over the course of a year, that means moms are parenting a whopping 1,150 hours more than dads! In personal terms, it translates into very little time for moms to decompress; the study found that "more than 20% [of moms] report that they have less than fifteen minutes" a day to themselves.
Are you satisfied with how parenting time is split between you and your child’s father?
