The centerpiece of the nursery is the new Uptown Crib ($1500) that Tamara recently designed for Nurseryworks. Taking inspiration from 15th-century England, the lacquered Uptown Crib with brass hardware also features some glam styling and bold lines influenced by the late Dorothy Draper, as well as a black and cream color palette used by Coco Chanel. The addition of a 1960s Austrian handblown glass chandelier and 1950s Curtis Jere butterfly sculpture on the ceiling give the space a sophisticated yet playful feel. "The classic lines of the pieces mixed with the glamour and sophistication of the brass and black and white make it both fresh and timeless," Tamara says. "I love that it's not gender specific and has the versatility to translate into other rooms in the house, which is both cost-effective and recycles."
