Old Spice Mom Ad

Is Old Spice's New Ad Creepy or Scarily Accurate?

We're still a month away from the Super Bowl, but one ad is already garnering significant attention from the mom community. During yesterday's Wildcard NFL games, Old Spice debuted their "Momsong" ad featuring a series of moms hiding on their teenage sons' dates, stealthily spying on them in the school cafeteria, and watching them flirt with girls, all the while singing about mourning the loss of their boys as they become men. The ad, for the company's Re-Fresh spray deodorant, uses the brand's tagline, "sprayed a man on my son."

Eerily reminiscent of I Love You Forever, the tale of how a mother's love for her son never ceases, some moms are calling the Old Spice ad creepy, but others call it brilliant. Take a look at the extended version of the ad here, and tell us what you think!
