We've heard about desperate parents disciplining their kids through public embarrassment, but here's a new twist, and one that more and more parents may have cause to consider.
13-year-old Ava Abbot of Ohio would not heed her mom's warnings to stop spilling family secrets on Facebook. When Ava broke the rule repeatedly, her mom, Denise, suspended her Facebook use for a month. Fair enough, right?
But she also created a picture of Ava with an "X" over her mouth, and the caption, "I do not know how to keep my mouth shut. I am no longer allowed on Facebook or my phone. Please ask why. My mom says I have to answer everyone that asks."
