Potty Training at 3-Months-Old... Really?

Diaper duty? Bleh. No matter how much someone loves their child, changing a soiled bottom is never much fun. While nappies keep the mess contained, it sure would be nice if tots came out of the womb trained to use a toilet. Jill Fehrenbacher from Inhabitots suggests parents can actually potty train children as young as 3-months-old. Sounds dreamy but can it really work? After reading an article on Elimination Communication (EC), Jill trained her 15-month-old son to no longer poop in his diaper. Malodorous trash cans? Gone. As is the case with many youngsters around the world, the lil guy was able to tune into his bodily functions and only pees in his diapers. While 69 percent thinks the idea of EC is somewhat illogical, others believe in the power of the early potty introduction.

Caterpillar- it's not about pressuring your child to develop, but sometimes kids are just ready. I have not tried to put my kid on the potty and he is 18 months old. I would like to start soon, but I certainly don't feel like there is any pressure for him or myself. I think the idea is that each child and parent should deal with potty training in their own time, and it is never too early if you are ready.

great now we are going to be hearing about parents thinking their baby is "behind" because they arent potty trained by 4 months.....Lets let the child develop and not put that kind of pressure on them and yourself.
