Pregnancy Weight Gain and Baby's Size At Birth

Pregnancy Weight Gain and Baby's Size at Birth

If a pregnant woman works out and stays physically fit, most people assume she'll deliver a lean tot. But then there are ladies who gain a lot of maternal weight during the expectant stage and still deliver a babe on the smaller side. Genetics, diet and many things factor in, but we're curious how much weight you gained during pregnancy and how big your baby was at birth?

I gained 30 lbs, my son was 9.5lbs and 22'. Big baby, but I'm 5'10 and pretty solid. The weight all came off pretty quickly.

I started at 145, went up to 157 and delivered a 7'12 oz baby. I was 130 lbs within the week of delivery. EEK!

I gained 39 lbs with my first and she was 6 lbs 13 oz. So far with this pregnancy, I've gained about 3 lbs (at 25 weeks) and the baby is right on normal...First baby was a girl and this one's a boy. I don't know how this baby's going to turn out.

I gained 37lbs with the 1st and she was 7lbs 13oz and 42 with the 2nd and he was 8lbs 6oz. I was ridiculously hungry with both though and huge deli bagels with cream cheese were a daily ritual.
