Ready to Pop . . . Champagne, Kettle Corn, and a Mama-to-Be!

Apr 10 2012 - 12:29am

"She's about to pop" inspired one of our favorite baby showers ever [1], but this pink- and pop-filled baby shower, planned by Los Angeles entertaining company Le Partie Sugar [2], might just top it.

Filled with creative "pop" ideas ranging from mini champagne bottles to popcorn to the ever-popular cake pops, this shower has high impact, but — the part we really love — it's pretty easy to re-create (especially if you pick up the invites [3] and party package [4] through Le Partie Sugar's Etsy store [5]). So keep clicking and get ready to pop!

The Invitation

The invites, available through Le Partie Sugar's Etsy shop [6], introduced the pop theme.

The Invitation

A closer look at the invite. Le Partie Sugar's Cristina cutely calls showers "sprinkles."

Welcome Sign

Much cuter than a sticky note, don't you think?

Pop-Inspired Treats

Popcorn, cake pops, and more were displayed under a row of DIY [7] tissue poms.

Tissue Poms

Tissue poms added high-impact color and style for a little investment. Le Partie Sugar has instructions on how to make your own [8].

Beverages

Everything looks cuter in a galvanized bucket, styled up with Le Partie Sugar's beverage sign, part of the Etsy party package [9].

Pop Goes the Drink

Sparkling rosé and nonalcoholic Italian soda (for pregnant mamas) added some popping bubbles to the party.

Kettle Popcorn Cookies

Popcorn makes its way into salty-sweet cookies. Yum!

Cake Pops

Always a favorite shower treat, these cake pops go with the pink pastel theme.

Popcorn Bar

We love the idea of serving multiple flavors of popcorn, the mom-to-be's favorite food!

Popcorn Bar

Sweet and salty kettle popcorn, spicy caramel popcorn, and a savory blend popcorn made up the popcorn bar.

Gift Bags

"For the party favors, we put together bags filled with 'things that go pop,' which included mini champagne to pop open on the baby’s due date, Pop Rocks, gumballs, kettle popcorn and cake pops," says Cristina of Le Partie Sugar.

Gift Bags

We love the idea of displaying the contents of the gift bags next to a row of assembled bags. That way, guests won't feel an overwhelming urge to immediately rifle through them!

Gift Bag Contents

This might be the cutest assemblage of gift bag items we've ever seen! Lucky guests!
