Heads up, parents! The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada have issued a recall of over 95,000 water absorbent Dunecraft toys that grow from marble-size to up to 400 times their original marble size.
If ingested, as an 8-month-old did, these expanding toys can be life-threatening and need to be surgically removed. A complicating factor is that they don't show up on x-rays.
The toys affected by this recall include Water Balz (round shape), Growing Skulls (skull shape), H2O Orbs "Despicable Me" (round shape) and Fabulous Flowers (flower shape). They were sold at stores nationwide and online, including at Amazon.com, Wegmans and Bed Bath & Beyond.
