Real Mom Gift Guide: All Rosie Pope Wants For the Holidays Is . . .

Dec 5 2012 - 12:43pm

It's not all about the kiddos during the holidays. They may not be toys you can buy at the local toy store, but moms have a few wants of their own this time of year. So listen up dads! We're turning to some of the busiest and savviest mamas we know — moms who've started businesses catering to other moms (and moms-to-be) — to see what's made its way onto their wish lists.

Rosie Pope's a mom of many hats. On TV she's the maternity concierge to some demanding parents-to-be. In her store she's the designer of a high-end line of eponymous maternity clothes and the founder of MomPrep, an education center for moms and expectant moms. In between, she's the author of Mommy IQ: The Complete Guide to Pregnancy [1]. And at home, she's wife to Daron and mom to sons James and Wellington and baby daughter Vivienne. To say Rosie's got a lot going on is an understatement, but when it comes to thinking of herself, she's looking to mix the practical with the fun. Check out what's on Rosie's holiday wish list this year.

Hunter Champery Wedge Boots (in Black)

It's been a messy Fall in NYC, and Rosie would like to step up her rainy-day gear with some new Hunter Champery Wedge Boots [2] ($175). "I would love to look a little more chic on those rainy days!"

Charm+Chain Monogrammed Cuff

"I'm obsessed with monograms and love it on a cuff [3] ($600) for something a little different . . . I think I'd like it with Vivienne's monogram!"

Donation to Baby Buggy

Rosie's been an active supporter of Baby Buggy [4], Jessica Seinfeld's nonprofit organization dedicated to providing families in need with essentials for their children, for years. "The number of families devastatingly affected by Hurricane Sandy is shocking. I would love someone to give a donation on my behalf to Baby Buggy."

Dry Shampoo

Moms are busy, and a wash and blow-dry are often the first things to go. Rosie's wish for a dry shampoo, like Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Shampoo [5] ($25), is more than just fun; it's essential! "This is a great stocking stuffer, as I hate to wash my hair! This is the pick-me-up I need to last between washes."

Sleep Number Notes

"The gift of sleep! I've teamed up with Sleep Number [6] because I know just how important great sleep is and I know the very best sleep products are those tailored to meet the unique sleep needs of those on your list. We're all different and one size doesn't fit all when it comes to sleep. Maybe my husband will give me one of these great sleep passes [7]."
