These Are the 30 Songs That Should Be Playing as You Give Birth

Spotify just created a two-hour-long playlist that is meant to be the soundtrack to your birthing experience — no, we're not kidding. The music-streaming geniuses at Spotify worked with ob-gyn Dr. Jacques Moritz — who said 70 percent of his patients prepare playlists to listen to during labor — to create a playlist that is scientifically designed to accompany women through their childbirth experience.

The idea seems a little silly at first, but we make playlists for working out and cooking, so why not one for labor and delivery? The playlist includes a few "punny" tunes such as "Just Breathe" by Pearl Jam, "Fruits of My Labor" by Lucinda Williams, and "Don't Panic" by Coldplay. The music starts off soothing, gets a bit more upbeat during push time, and is capped off with Bach's "Unaccompanied Cello Suite No. 1" for the moment a mama meets her bundle of joy.

Take a listen to the playlist below, and let us know what you think (we're kind of into it!).
