Special Needs Teen Models For Wet Seal

Teen With Down Syndrome Models for Wet Seal

An Illinois teen with Down syndrome is making headlines after modeling for clothing company Wet Seal. The modeling gig started when 17-year-old Karrie Brown's mom posted a picture of Karrie in her favorite Wet Seal gear noting that the retailer just started carrying plus-size clothing that is a great fit and fashion for girls with Down syndrome. "Why not a future Wet Seal model who has special needs?" Brown's mom asked.

Apparently, many fans and Wet Seal agreed. The company told Brown that if her page received more than 10,000 likes, it would give Brown a surprise. She never imagined it would include a flight for her and her family to Wet Seal's California headquarters for an all-inclusive photo shoot and shopping spree. Wet Seal executives says Brown was a natural. So it's no wonder that Brown's next goal is to dance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

So much for highlighting the obvious Downs part. Why not just say Teen Girl blah blah.... as obviously she still has a brain and a lovely personality regardless of having Downs. However yes, does give a boost and Hope for those who are not seen to be as "good" by the perfect human type specimens of this world, or treated equally of value to some by others. despite the perfect " pretty teen human beings that may still have ugly nasty personalities and no disabilities.
