One classroom was turned upside down when 20 students were knowledgeable about an important topic — one that their teacher had no idea about! Jennifer Lai thought it was just a typical day at school when her boyfriend of three years, Sam Nalbandia, managed to pull off an epic proposal in front of her Global Education Academy first-grade class.

While Jessica was in another room, her colleagues and sister slipped into her classroom to let her students in on the big surprise. When she returned, Jessica noticed that her kids were being especially quiet, and then she was asked to sit down to watch a special video. "As soon as the movie entitled 'A Samifer Special' came onto the screen, I started freaking out!" Jennifer told The Huffington Post.

After the video, her 20 students got into a line, each holding a letter to spell "Will You Marry Me?" For the last touch, Sam walked into the classroom with a bouquet of flowers and dropped to one knee in front of their mini audience.

The new bride-to-be answered his question with an excited yes and a quick peck as some of the kiddos covered their eyes. "We spoke about getting married, but I never imagined it would happen at work," Jennifer told Today. "I'm so happy it did though because my students were able to share the moment with me, and Sam knows how important my students are to me."
