The Study Ball ($115) is a 20-pound ball and chain that attaches to a student's ankle and assists them in sitting still to concentrate on their work. This has to be one of the most disturbing products I've ever seen. Any person who would actually consider using this as a parenting tool, should really reconsider having children at all, or at the very least reevaluate their parenting methods.

lol isn't that considered child abuse. I think that would be hilarious for a teenager (if the ball weighed more) but not for young kids. I'm pretty sure I would have come to resent my parents if they had put a contraption like that on me.

Other than the fact that this is totally horrible and wrong, it's dangerous! What if the kid has to use the restroom or there is a fire? The site says a "safety key" is included, but COME ON!

horrible. and an almost sure way for the child to learn to HATE any and all homework.
