This Fifth Grade Teacher Has the Most Genius Way to Get His Students Excited For Class

For some elementary school teachers, getting your students excited for class can seem like attempting the impossible, but this fifth grade literacy teacher has found an impressive solution. Barry White Jr. has a personalized handshake with each and every one of his students in all three of his classes, and they all line up to perform them before entering the classroom every day. He says doing so encourages his students to be creative and gets them excited for class.

"The most critical component is the relationship, the rapport you build with your students, because sometimes it can go underrated or overlooked," the Charlotte, NC, teacher told WCNC. "Before I'm able to deliver a substantial amount of content to them, they have to invest in the teacher."

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district posted a video of Mr. White and his impressive connection with the students on its Facebook page, and it's blowing the internet away. White explained it was inspired by LeBron James and his personalized handshakes with all of his teammates on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Seriously, how awesome are all the different handshakes?!
