Teething Remedies?

This post was submitted by Anonymous in The Mommy Club.

I just read the story on teething and I'm in the same boat! My 15 month old is is so much pain and it's killing me to see him so sad. I've tried to give him frozen toys but they're too cold for his small hands. I'm too scared to try Baby Orajel and the teething toys work for a little bit but he gets sick of them and tosses them on the floor before he can get much relief.

Does anyone have any specific toys or remedies that I should try? Please help me before we both go crazy!

Frozen chopped bananas is so clever! I chopped up frozen bread and hamburger buns for snacks and it worked wonderfully.

Frozen bananas. I cut them in quarters before freezing so they weren't too big for his little hands. I never tried the tablets, and orajel didn't do anything for my boy.

I wouldn't feel too freaked out to give your child some motrin if the teething tablets dont seem to be working. They are in pain and it seems silly to force them to suffer when they can have motrin occasionally. It was kind of hard for me at first, but im glad i did it
