Some great tips - wish I'd read these when I was at home with my first baby. I really lost my identity for a while and had a bad case of PPD. I didn't join a mommy group, but I wish I had. They aren't just about sharing child-rearing troubles; they are a great way to meet other people you have something in common with - especially nice if few of your pre-existing friends have kids. Bonus: the people you are meeting likely live in your own community, too. Good luck, all!
