Adorable 4-Year-Old Girl Honors Her Late Mother in Her Wedding Dress

Nora Davis was just a toddler when her mother Amber passed away from cervical cancer. Now, one year after her death, 4-year-old Nora is honoring her mother in the most adorable, heartfelt way possible: by wearing her mother's wedding gown for a photo shoot. But the plan to have Nora photographed in her mother's dress was thought out before she passed away.

Amber's close friend and owner of My Three Arrows Photography Heidi Spillane said that Amber came up with the plan for the photo shoot after she was diagnosed. "Nora was so excited to put on Mommy's fancy wedding dress and be photographed at her parents' wedding venue," Heidi wrote on Facebook. "I can remember the day Amber texted me a picture of her little girl in her mom's wedding dress and we started planning. Amber, photographing this session without you was never in the plan but we felt you there, smiling and so proud of your sweet girl."

Last month, Heidi and the Davis family planned the photo shoot, incorporating many emotional cues from Nora's parents' wedding. Not only did Nora wear the dress her mom wore during her February 2011 wedding, but she also had her hair done by the same stylist, posed with the bouquet, and even wore her mom's rings. When Nora is all grown up, she'll be able to look back at the photos and smile knowing that she was able to wear her mother's wedding dress at just 4 years old.

Although this sounds like it may have been an emotionally painful photo shoot for Nora and her father, Derek, Amber's sister Adrianne Blackwater said it was more of a happy time. "That mother-daughter bond, there is nothing else like it," she said. "I think Amber wanted something special for her. Nora enjoyed her day of being a little princess."
