Tom Brady Knows the Baby's Gender but Gisele is Clueless

Could You Handle the Gender Secret Like Tom Brady?

When asked who they trust the most with their secret, many mothers would say their partner. The intimacy they share and the time spent together makes most any secret impossible to keep. That's why many couples make a united decision to find out the sex of their unborn child together — either at an ultrasound, on a piece of paper or in the delivery room. It is less common that one parent finds out and maintains the surprise for the other, but that's exactly the plan for Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen. Quarterback papa Tom made the call to know the gender while his wife is holding out for the unveiling on the birth day. A strategic player to boot, he has been careful about the use of pronouns when speaking of the babe-to-be. Of his lil nugget of knowledge he said:

My dad asked me. I haven't told him. [Gisele] doesn’t know. It’s a pretty good feeling knowing something that no one else knows.

Do you think you could hold the gender a secret from your man?

no, I wouldn't be able to do it. I'd want to go shopping for baby things with him and I wouldn't want to "waste time" looking at girl things if it were a boy or vice versa, just for the sake of keeping it a secret from him. plus, i'd want us to be together when we both found out.

My mom knew what my brother was going to be and my dad didn't know. Originally, neither of them wanted to know (since they didn't with me), but my brother's godmother went to the appointment with my mom and she knew. Since she knew, my mom couldn't hold out and made her tell her! My dad maintained his desire for a surprise .. and was convinced the whole time my brother was going to be a girl. :]

lol, there's no way i could handle it. I love finding out and then going shopping for all of the things we need, and calling everyone who wanted to know. My sister wanted to be in a conference call DURING the ultrasound lololol, which we obviously didnt do. I think its probably easier for a man though... not so many of them get the nesting urge, so he can probably know without spilling the beans.

I could never ever keep that to myself. As soon as I found out I started telling everyone. Although we kept the name a secret, too, zivanod. That was pretty easy for me me, too.

Nope, I am a blabbermouth when it comes to personally exciting things. Seriously, when I got my first teaching job, I called my boyfriend immediately afterwards -- I couldn't even wait until I got home. Obviously it's not the same thing, but I'm pretty sure if I had news as big as a baby's sex, I would be ALL over that, calling everyone that I'd want to know ASAP. I could NEVER keep that secret.

Everyone that knows about our upcoming baby knows the sex. There is no way I would have been able to keep that a secret from anyone. The name though, I am pleased to say I haven't spilled yet.
