My son was a Puma walker, a Van's runner and recently became an Adidas climber. Needing a bit more traction for when he climbs up the slides backwards and cushion when he drops from the monkey bars, we invested in a couple pairs of kicks that would keep him light and fast on his feet, but are also easy enough to slip on and off as we scramble from home to car to running errands. Available in indigo, rave green, lava and pink, these sneakers ($35) will have your kids on their toes. And, with a stick of the flap Velcro closure, you'll both be off and running!
