Sons of Anarchy Gets a Kid-Friendly, Halloween Twist

Sons of Anarchy and kid-friendly aren't two things you often — or ever — find in the same sentence. But Jessica Bender of Jessica Bender Photography wanted these two worlds to collide at her Halloween party. A fan of the FX series, Jessica wanted to find a way to put a childish twist on the world of bikers.

"Last year a bunch of our friends were really into it, so my husband and I started watching as well," she recalls. "As I watched it, I thought it would make such a fun Halloween party." So the party planner got to work, creating a spooktacular bash that would please her friends as well as their children. Though this took a ton of creativity, Jessica managed to make subtle references to the show through the decor and menu.

"Treats were inspired by some scenes from the show that safely went over the children's heads, as well as stereotypical biker eats," she shares. But the hardest part, by far, was keeping the show's star Charlie Hunnam out of the party.

"As much as the moms would have liked to see his face all over the party, the kids just would not have gotten it."
