Gap's New Collection of Peanuts Clothes Will Help Introduce Your Kids to Charlie Brown and Snoopy

You grew up with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang from Peanuts, but will your kids show the same appreciation for the classic Charles Schulz comic, first created nearly 65 years ago? Gap is certainly betting on it, with its new, limited-edition babyGap and GapKids collections that embody the beloved characters.

The brand opted to release the new line — which is on sale starting today — around the holidays because of the 50th anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas, but the pieces are truly timeless. The quintessential black-on-yellow zigzag stripe pervades the collection, and there are also comic-strip-printed sneakers and hoodies and Snoopy-inspired bomber jackets, scarves, and caps.

"In collaborating with Peanuts, we wanted to celebrate their heritage by incorporating vintage artwork and an exclusive collection of hand-sketched drawings for baby," said Gap Vice President of Merchandising Phu Ngo. "By going back to the origins of the story, which celebrates optimism and self-expression, we truly find the specialness of the brand and reintroduce it to a new generation."

Although the Gap collection, ranging in price from $13 to $79, is made for newborns, toddlers, boys, and girls, the inclusion of graphic tees and tote bags means that Peanuts-loving parents might get to sneak something for themselves under the Christmas tree, too.

You're a good man, indeed, Charlie Brown. Now, before we start sounding like his teacher ("wah wah wah wah . . . "), read on to see a selection of our favorite pieces.
