1 High School Re-Created Its Entire Graduation Ceremony For the Most Incredible Reason

On May 25, seniors from East Juniata High School in McAlisterville, PA, graduated from high school. And on June 14, they did it again. The reason? Their classmate Scott Dunn recently woke up from a coma and was sad to learn he'd missed the ceremony. So more than half his class re-created the event, according to local ABC27.

Dunn had gotten into a serious car accident on May 22 after losing control of his car and was put into a medically induced coma. When the school's principal, Mr. Fausey, learned that Dunn was doing better, he called the family to say the school wanted to do something special for him.

"There's only one high school graduation that people get," Benjamin Fausey told ABC27. "To me, this is the least that we can do."

On Tuesday, Dunn's classmates went back to school as he led them in a procession to "Pomp and Circumstance," and they formed a circle around him to throw their caps in the air.

"I don't know how to even explain it," said Dunn. "I'm speechless to know that this many people are behind me."
