Samantha Bee has, once again, delivered a scathing analysis of the election. On Monday night, the TBS host criticized the entertainment industry for carelessly encouraging Donald Trump's racism. After questioning why Americans are comfortable with Trump's association with hate groups, Bee explained that TV has allowed it to happen for the sake of entertainment. In particular, she went after NBC, which gave credence to Trump's birther theories over the years by permitting The Apprentice to remain on air while he talked about the theories elsewhere in the press.

Bee said the network is still to blame. "I guess because ratings matter more than brown people," she said, referring to the fact that NBC cut ties with Trump after he said Mexicans were rapists but still invited him on Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show.

She specifically referred to Trump's appearance on The Tonight Show last week, which drew criticism for the way Jimmy Fallon went easy on Trump; the harshest Fallon got with the candidate was messing up his hair. Bee said, "Trump can be a total sweetheart with someone who has no reason to be terrified of him."

Bee's most salient point of this segment perfectly explains why Trump is still popular — he doesn't threaten white men. "Network execs and a lot of their audience can ignore how very dangerous Trump is because to them, he isn't," she said. "They're not going to be deported, they're not going to live under a president who thinks of them as a collection of sex toys. They're not racist; they just don't mind if other people are."

Here's part two of her segment, which is equally as blistering.
