Do Tell: Can Your Dogs Play Off-Leash?

One of them (Lady) can walk around off leash but the other one can't (Chico). He's crossed the street twice while being off leash, so we don't let either of them without. But we take them to the dog park almost everyday where they play a lot with their other dog and human friends.
My older dog is allowed off leash, she knows not to go out of my sight and stays on the sidewalk until we reach the woods. My new dog however hasn't earned my trust enough to be allowed out off leash unless he's in a fenced in yard. Though theoretically it's against the law to have the dog off leash.
Yes, all the time. Our dog is actually better behaved off leash than on leash. We think it has something to do with her being concerned about losing us. When she's on the leash, she knows we're there and can pull and tug and drag us wherever she wants. But when she's off leash, she knows it's her responsibility to stay near us or we could wander off. It's almost like she doesn't trust US to be off leash!
My dogs are off leash a lot. They are like velcro and we can't get 5 feet from them! Don't have to worry about them running off, they won't even go outside unless we are with them. They just stand at the door crying if left outside alone.
My girl plays twice a day at the unofficial dog park in the neighborhood. If we are not in a gated area she is always on leash. She gets spooked too easily. I'm scared she would dart into the street.
My parents let our cocker run around with no leash, they have a lot of property and knows to stay away from the road. My cavi is still a puppy but my boyfriend and I let her run around outside with no leash as long as we are away from cars and in a grassy area.
No. My Italian Greyhound is too fast. He's always on a leash when not fenced in.
According to the law in my state, no, but I do it anyway because it's not enforced where I live.
Well, I have a greyhound - and since we have a fenced in yard, he is allowed to play off-leash while in the yard. But outside of the fence, it's leash-only!
They can and do! At least once a day.
