Do Tell: What's Your A.M. Pet Routine?

Do Tell: What's Your A.M. Pet Routine?

This morning was a definite struggle. North wasn't keen on a rainy stroll but also didn't want to cooperate (to say it nicely) on his crate time as I was off to work. I get up late enough that I usually just give my pooch one walk in the morning, but I have friends that do double duty with two potty breaks before work, and others that work from home and hold out until there's a clear cue he's gotta go. What's your morning like for your furry friends?

Sonya, me too! 'Karma' gets to come with me to work every day which is the best thing in the world! My princess gets her potty break at 9:30 when we leave for the office. Then she spends her day getting spoiled by my co-workers. She's asking me to go outside right now and I'm trying to explain to her what 'pouring rain' means. She doesn't get it. Sigh, thank god for big umbrellas and rain boots.

haha; at 7:00 my two dashunds go "uuuuuhhh" and then roll over in the bed...and don't get up until after I leave. they are very lazy dogs and they love being in bed, under the covers, and sleeping all day. as for bathroom access; we have a doggie door...

between 630-730 AM I feed the 2 inside kitties, freshen their water and check their litter boxes. then dress for work... once dressed and nearly ready to head out, I feed the 2 outside kitties.

They are either staring at my on the bed.... Or once the alarm goes off they are on high alert and know it is time for me to get up. I go into the bathroom and they meow, and meow, and meow until I get their bowls and go into the kitchen. Finally!!!

Starting at about 4:30 AM, and in no particular order but always accompanied by thunderous purring: 1. Oliver sitting on my torso 2. Oliver sitting on my head 3. Front paw in my mouth. 4. Front paw in one of my nostrils. 5. Front paw squeezing an earlobe. 6. Front paw squeezing the tip of my nose. 7. All exposed facial skin at serious risk for a tongue bath. 8. At some point, me sleepily plodding to the kitchen with the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed Oliver so that he may have his first wet food feast of the day. After all, he is working on his boyish figure.

Lucky you sonya! Well I'm lucky if my one dog sleeps in past sunrise. She usually is up at about 5:30 am ready to go (no matter how late we try and make her stay awake). So I take both dogs outside to pee. I come in and feed them breakfast. And then I pray that the hyper one will let me fall back asleep for a little while longer. After I head to work, my husband usually takes them for a walk and plays with them.

Well, I'm pretty lucky in the fact that I get to bring my dog to work with me. So, my mornings are pretty easy since I just feed and let Eegor our in the backyard. Then, around 8PM we head to work, where he gets to play and sleep all day with the other office dogs :]
