Do Tell: Where's the Craziest Place You've Spotted a Pet?

Do Tell: Where's the Craziest Place You've Spotted a Pet?

I've already seen a furry stranger in my hallway a couple months back but would you believe me if I told you I spotted a second, different feline in my small apartment building?! Believe it or not, it's true . . . yet, this time the kitty had a tag and belonged to the girls across the hall. I know I've also seen cats on my walk to work hiding under cars, on the patio of a Napa resort, and even in unlikely offices – what about you?

Wolves can be very affectionate and loyal to humans. They are dogs, after all. But they do belong in the wild, I would hate to think of them cooped up in a house or yard. I have a love of wolves ever since seeing White Fang as a kid. That movie always makes me cry!

Many people in the USA and Canada might think it is crazy but large pet dogs - leashed and generally muzzled - are allowed on transit in Boston, San Francisco, Seattle and Toronto.... and in nearly all cities and towns in Europe.

A cat used to live in the food warehouse at my old work in my school's union. It was really weird to see a cat stalking around the warehouse when I went to get food. It was supposed to be eating rats and mice I guess.

kscincotta - yep. But I live in MS. I still haven't gotten the courage to walk up to the mountain lion yet, but the wolves are very friendly. I wouldn't try to break into the house or anything, but with their master around they are just as loveable as can be. The guy who owns them is originally from Arizona and rescued them from various places. He is very respectful of the fact they are wild animals which is why I think they live together so well.

Our neighborhood wine store has a small white poodle and our outdoor gear shop has a yellow lab. Also, seriously? A mountain lion and two wolves?!? We're not even allowed to have certain breeds of dogs in our condos!

I've seen dogs in Congressional offices, and used to bring my dog to work at a stuffy policy think tank and a Presidential campaign. She doesn't shed, so no one had to worry about getting hair on their navy blue suits, but sometimes they did have to fight her for space on one of the couches in my office. When I first got her, I never would have dreamed it would be okay, but my bosses, coworkers and donors always asked for me to bring her, so her presence became kind of a regular thing.

There is a auto parts store in my area that has a resident cat . He hangs out by the cash register or lounges on the cash register.

I once met a girl carrying her bunny in a backpack. Thought that was new and interesting.

A guy who lives down the street from me owns a mountain lion and a pair of wolves. That'll make you do a double take when you first see him walking them down the street on a leash.

It wasn't a weird place, but i saw a woman walking her dog, and a cat walking alone about 15 paces behind her. i asked her her if the cat was her and she said "Yeah, she thinks she's a dog. She always walks with us." i thought that was pretty cute.
