Do You Know Where the Closest 24-Hour Vet Clinic Is?

Take a minute and look for the closest emergency vet to your home . . . if you don't already know it. Since North's regular doc is at a 24-hour facility, I have the phone number already in my phone in case of an accident. Even if you don't program it in, it's good to know how far you'd have to go if need be. Did you already know the location of the nearest urgent care for animals, or was this your first search?

I found our kitties in our garage when they were only one day old. I was so nervous about taking care of them and it was a sunday and all the vets were closed so I took them to the 24 hour clinic to be watched overnight and make sure they were healthy. It wasn't that pricey and worth tons in relief. The next day they took the time to show me how to bottle feed and take care of such young kitties. Thanks to their help and advise all four kitties lived and we developed such a great bond.

yes! I'm so nervous about this type of thing. I love my vet, they're a little pricy, but since they saved my poor, mauled dog, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

it is SO important to know this! my good friends 5 pound Chihuahua ate 3 bars of dark chocolate in the middle of the night...good thing i had the number of the 24 hour vet next to us..she was gonna drive an hour away for her vet's 24 hr clinic! the vet told us she may have died if we went to the one an hour away instead of the one that was 10 mins away... now we both have the number programmed in our phones!!

The 24-hr clinic is also my normal clinic. I've only needed them once, thank goodness!

Yes!! My dog once swallowed a whole corn cob that somebody gave to him at a picnic and we had to rush to the emergency vet to have it removed. Ever since then, I have the emergency vet in my phone just in case. It also helps to have Animal Poison Control too in case your dog ever eats something poisonous (like mine once ate sugarfree gum which is poisonous). They'll walk you through what to do in those instances.
