This Teacup Poodle Visits Her Friends in the Nursing Home

There's a special little poodle in Minnesota that has a knack for warming the hearts of all her friends in the nursing home. Nala's owner, Doug Dawson, brings her into the care center when he comes to work and puts her on an elevator. From there, she takes it upon herself to visit the residents, including recently sitting with a resident who had passed away.

"She had died earlier in the morning, but Nala knew and went and sat with her," said staffer Sandy Glomski. "It was wonderful, and we were all in tears."

Nala doesn't have any formal training in pet therapy, but Dawson said he is constantly amazed by what she does for the residents, and her friends at the care center seem to agree. "She's an angel," 90-year-old Ruth New said. "I love her and she loves me."
