Dogs Bark at the TV

I Need Your Help . . . How Do I Stop a Dog From Barking at the TV?

While some pups love to watch TV, others barely give the tube a second glance. Now I'm betting the animals don't dictate what you play regardless, but how would you feel if your pet wanted to "comment" on the program, in the only way he knows how? Check out this situation shared by katiekat95 with the PetSugar Q and A group:

How do I stop my pug from barking at animals on the TV? It drives me nuts!

Yes! The TV can already be on mute...if she sees a dog/cat/horse/goat/animated animal (she doesn't discriminate haha). She even knows the music that goes along with commercials with animals in them. I have run out of ideas...

Have you tried putting the tv on mute when animals appear on the screen? My dog (he's a lab) also is a fan of animals on tv. I started putting the tv on mute and then letting him know it was O.K. while introducing his favorite toy.
