Follow Up On a Few of Michael Vick's Dogs

The Scars Tell the Tale: A Follow-Up on Michael Vick's Dogs

Last week I was flipping through the channels and caught the tail end of this MSNBC segment that follows up with a few dogs that were once prized fighters in Michael Vick's pack. We've already seen how well Leo has turned out through intensive training, and now we get a glimpse at the lives of Lucas and Georgia, who are being rehabilitated in California and Utah. Although Pit Bulls are generally stereotyped and given a bad rep from horrible stories (like the Vick case) and irresponsible pet parenting, these pooches prove that no matter what your past looks like, there's always room for love.

People in my complex are scared of my dog when she's exhibited no signs of aggression, only an intense desire to play with others human or animal! I do agree with Smacks because we have this bookbag for her to help give her a task and hopefully take the edge of her energy while we walk and when we remember to put it on, people think she's adoro rather than cross the street to avoid her.

So happy! I know they couldn't help all the Vick pitties (some were just too far gone in their aggression) but I'm glad they could help a few. Warms my heart, it really does. Plus, I love sparkly, ruffly thing they put on him. I always tell owners of "scary" breeds (rotties, pits, mastiffs..etc) to put on funny hats or something to help people not feel so afraid of them. How can you be scared of a pit with pink sparkly ruffles?
