Yes I know the pic is a greyhound. It's a different picture than was originally up. I know the difference between the two, besides the ginormous size difference. When it was first posted, the dog was definitely an Iggy but the brindle now picture is for sure a greyhound

@Renees3 - The picture shown is a Greyhound. The head, height of the legs, posture and length of the body give it away (I owned a retired rescue Greyhound named Porsche). The Italian Greyhound has a much smaller and less long head compared to the rest of its body. The Italian likes to curl its body as well.

Yea Greyhounds! I love those dogs. I am pretty sure the picture is a greyhound and not a IG. I have an IG and their tails are much skinner and they do not come in that brindle color.

The most interesting fact to me is that they are universal blood donors (for dogs!). When Patterson was at Ohio State's hospital getting his total hip replacement there were grey hounds coming in and out with bandages on their long necks donating blood. It was amazing! OSU has a rescue program that rescues the greyhounds, places them with families, provides them with vet care and food i think, as long as they come back to donate every so often (not sure if its once a week or what). It seems like an awesome program and the grey hounds were SO CUTE! I'm sure their blood has helped so many at OSU, I love that place!

Well that pic isn't a true greyhound, it's an Italian Greyhound. Also, they are HUGE couch potatoes! They usually need to run like once a day and then they sleep the rest of the day away! They're good dogs, my parents have whippets which are sort of like a medium sized greyhound.
